All is Well

The last 4 days have been very hard. I am amazed at how Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ never leave my side. I feel them so close through all the trials that my husband Brad and I are facing. I feel so happy and thankful that I have the gospel in my life. I have a strong belief in my religion. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints has the complete truth. I know that we have a Profit on earth today. Heavenly Father loves us as much as he loved his children at the time of Moses and even when Adam and Eve were alive. He would not leave us all alone in these last days when the world is like it is. We have a Profit of God who acts in behalf of our Savor Jesus Christ and he guides us in these last days.

Brad had minor surgery yesterday. His doctor thought he might have an artery clogged. Since Brad's Dad had an heart attack in his 50's the Doctor said it was better to do a Cardiac catheterization. Brad had a priesthood blessing after church on Sunday Our home teacher gave him a beautiful blessing. His surgery went really well. After the surgery, the Doctor told me that is was a very small blockage that they could treat with medicine. They didn't have to put any stents in. I was so relieved and felt very happy. Brad came home the same day and was up and about. No one can keep him down. Not even his wife. He is doing good today also. He can't exercise for 3 days. He went into work today but his boss sent him home to rest. It's takes his boss to get him to rest. I don't get it. LOL

I am very thankful for priesthood blessings. I truly believe that the Lord can heal and bring comfort. I have felt peace throughout this procedure. Brad had a calmness also. I love Brad very much. He is an amazing man. I want a lot more time to spend with him.

There are more trials I would love to share. My goal is to share them. I just don't know where to begin.

Grandpa and Grandma's surprise Visit for Elyse's Birthday Party.

What a surprise for Elyse. Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Scott showed up at Elyse's home around 12:30 am. Amber and Clay had beds ready for us since we had been driving for the last 5 1/2 hours. That morning when Elyse woke up she went to the bathroom and knocked on the door. She was so surprised when Grandpa opened it. All she could get out with excitement was GRANDPA! It made the surprise all worth it. It was our granddaughter's Elyse's birthday party that day. She had a Princess Tea (Lemonade) party. I had so much fun. She had 4 little girls that came. Elyse was very pretty that day. Her mom even bought her own little Tea cup. I took a lot of pictures as the girls decorated little purses, necklaces, and Terra's. Amber was so patient as she helped each girl with their projects. Madsyon was just a doll. She wanted to decorate and have fun also.

My favorite part was watching Amber read the story "The Tea Cup". The girls loved it. They sat so still as she read the whole book. Elyse had a Tea Cup for her cake. Elyse opened her presents so gracefully with her friends helping. My favorite picture I took is with her Uncle Scott and her. I am so glad that Grandpa and I, and your uncle Scott were able to come to your party, Elyse. We love you very much.

Brad and Scott drove home Sunday. I stayed until Tuesday afternoon. Monday, I took Amber and the girls to Getti Town. We had all you can eat pizza and salad. We than played games. I think Amber and I had the most fun. The girls had fun to. I love having this time with just Elyse and Madyson. We than went to the mall shopping. It's always fun for Grandma to buy the girls a cute outfit. I bought Amber a skirt for her birthday.

The most fun was going to Baskin N Robbins and getting a banana split. We got our ice cream and went home to eat it. We bought one for Clay also. That was the best banana split. Elyse ate most of hers.

Tuesday I was able to go to Elyse's Gymnastics's class. She was so cute. She listened to everything her instructor was telling them to do. She is pretty serious. I was so proud of her.

I left for the airport around 6:00 and arrived back home at 7:00. It was hard leaving Amber, but I am so thankful that she is not that far away with her family. When I got back, Brad and I took Scott out to dinner. I was his last night home before he returned back to the base in California. I love my family very much.

Happy Birthday, Elyse Hooten. 4 years old!

I can't believe I have a grand daughter Elyse who just turned 4 yesterday. Elyse is a beautiful girl. I love having her around. Elyse moved with her Mommy, Daddy and her sister, Madyson last December to San Angelo, Texas. My daugther Amber, and her husband Clay lived about 20 minutes from our home. It was pretty hard on me when they moved. I am close to my daughter and I love to hang out with her. It was so nice to have my grand children Elyse (4) and Madyson (just turning 2 in few weeks) right around the corner. I loved going to there community pool and swim with them. I loved going to the park and reading stories with them. Grandpa really misses them too. We are a close family. Families mean more to us than anything. The good news is that the Hooten family is only 5 hours away. Brad and I can still get to them pretty easy. In fact we are going to San Angelo Friday night so we can surprise Elsye for her birthday party on Saturday. I am so excited.

Like Father, Like Son, Like Grandson

I have wanted a swing set for my grandchildren for a long time. My husband, Brad surprised me on Saturday by bringing home a swing set. It was a joy for me to watch Brad (Father), Scott (Son), and Tyler (Grandson) put together the swing set. Tyler was having so much fun watching and helping. Scott, is home on leave. He is in the Marines and recently returned from a 7 month tour in Iraq. I am so thankful that he is back in the United States safe. He is stationed right outside of San Diego. Camp Pentelton. I love you Brad, Scott and Tyler. And I love the swing set. Elyse and Madyson will love the swing set also.
